‘Anywhere’ – A Parody for Unpunctual Parents

I’ve touched on the daily struggles of leaving the house with children in blog form, but felt the whole, horrid, stressful, sweat, and tear-inducing process can only be addressed properly via the medium of song…

So here we go, this is ‘Anywhere’ – a Fleetwood Mac parody for parents who, thanks to their kids, just can’t get, well, bloody anywhere. If you’ve ever internally screamed ‘JUST PUT YOUR F**KING SHOES ON!!’ while stress eating Pomme Bears, sobbing, and pretending to friends/family/partners that you’ve already left the house – then this one’s for you.

Hum along if you know the tune (I’ve left Ed alone this time – mainly because I think he HATES me…)

I can’t even tell you how difficult it’s been to follow up the ‘Smell of You’ parody, how do you beat over 25 million views? You just can’t, so I’ve gone with my gut on this one – an oldie, but a goodie teamed with a parenting twist that hopefully you’ll like!

Millie fans – stick it out to the end!

Thanks for reading / watching!

Toddler asked what I was watching so I said a mummy singing a song. Showed her and she said aw what a pretty mummy :0)

Love it! So funny and true. Parenting is obviously with it’s rewards, but hard work. I’m sure Ed will forgive you when he has kids 😊
I think lots of mums would find your blog useful, to know they are not alone in the daily struggle. Especially if they are the first of their friendship groups to have children.
Keep it up, you’re funny. There’s not enough I’m the world 😊

Laughed all through watching. Think your chorus has hit the nail on the head again. A refreshing “we must laugh or we might cry” parody about parenting and our daily struggles.

Love the two parodies, especially Anywhere. You have a real talent for Music and Comedy, and obviously the observation of real life. I have two boys and smiled at how accurate your lyrics were.

Keep up the parodies, they are excellent!

Your son in the name ground with his windmill arm dance cracks me up. This is so me. By the time I’m ready everything is closed. I’ve given up on going anywhere by car it’s all o line shopping and walks out locally for picnics- which still takes ages to get out the door and usually the sun seals for rain! You have a lovely voice and your videos are extremely funny! So glad I discovered you. Pa’RAnT’ing feels I’m less need of a rant after singing along to your vids. Genius please do more! I love altering song lyrics to go along with parent life but could never go what u do. Thank you!

Thanks so much Ajay! It’s hard isn’t it? I spent all of yesterday screaming, “Mummy just wants to leave the house – OK?!” Sometimes getting out and about doesn’t seem worth the effort does it?!
